OUR STRATEGIES
Preferences & Constraints
Investment strategy starts with preferences and constraints. Preferences are the choices made when constructing portfolios and deploying strategies. These choices have long term implications and are at the core of what we do. In our strategies, we preference protection of principal, diversification amongst asset classes, strong fundamentals in individual companies and the ability to hedge through options and being short the market. Constraints represent the limitations of individuals, strategies and investments. We believe neglecting the inherent limitations we face as individuals and investors leads to suboptimal outcomes. By deploying nimble, dynamic strategies bolstered by strong fundamentals and the ability to hedge, we believe the choices we make and philosophy we deploy allows our clients to rest easy at night knowing they are following a strategy, not the whims of the market.

DYNAMIC PORTFOLIOS
Dynamic portfolios are diversified, rules based strategies that take the emotion out of investing. A momentum overlay compliments a basket of low cost exchange traded funds (ETF's) to preference protection of principal and diversification. Dynamic portfolios represent the core of our strategy.
CONCENTRATED FUNDAMENTAL
Concentrated fundamental strategies are portfolios of no more than 15 individual stocks. Using growth and value metrics with bottom up analysis of company fundamentals, these portfolios are low turnover. Preferences are for high quality companies with a catalyst for price appreciation and earnings growth.
LONG/SHORT
Long/Short strategies have the ability to access both sides of the market in order to add protection and hedge existing exposure. The long and short exposures are driven by market inputs from both the dynamic and concentrated portfolios. We seek price appreciation, tactically and often, in a shorter time frame by being long and short.
ALTERNATIVE INVESTMENTS
Through our partnerships we have access to professionally managed alternative investments. These include hedge funds, commodities, real estate, private equity and managed futures. For qualifying investors these can add an additional source of diversification and driver of market returns.
COMPLETION PORTFOLIOS
After assessing the totality of a portfolio or current financial situation there are often holes in allocation or strategy. Sometimes a lack of strategic diversification or over concentration in a single position or sector can be off set through the use of completion portfolios. These portfolios seek to specifically address a missing component of the overall allocation.
